1. The "Universal" Grind Unless specified otherwise (e.g., "Espresso Grind"), most bags in our collection are ground to a Medium/Drip consistency. This texture resembles sea salt and is universally compatible with standard flat-bottom or cone-filter drip coffee makers, which are the most common appliances in American kitchens.

2. Freshness Technology The moment coffee is ground, it increases its surface area and begins to oxidize. To combat this, our American roasters use Nitrogen Flushing and One-Way Valve Bags.

  • Nitrogen Flushing: Replaces the oxygen in the bag with nitrogen, pausing the aging process.

  • One-Way Valves: Allows the coffee to release CO2 (degas) without letting air back in.

  • Tip: Once you open the bag, oxygen rushes in. We recommend storing your ground coffee in an opaque, airtight container and consuming it within 2 weeks for peak flavor.

3. Small Batch vs. Mass Production Mass-produced coffee is often roasted darker to mask defects in lower-quality beans.
