A standard carbine buffer at approximately 3 oz cycles too fast for any forced reset trigger to reset reliably — the bolt returns to battery before the reset lobe can engage. The H3 at 5.4 oz slows bolt velocity to give the Disruptor the timing it needs. H2 is the minimum for FRT builds; H3 is the recommended weight, especially for suppressed or short-gas builds.

What is the V2 reciprocating design on the H3 buffer?

The V2 reciprocating internal weight system replaces a static weight with tungsten counter-mass weights that shift during cycling. This smooths deceleration, reduces bolt bounce, and lowers felt recoil compared to a standard fixed-weight buffer — all benefits that compound at the higher cycling rates of a forced reset trigger build.

Do I still need an M16 BCG with this bundle?

The H3 Steel Buffer — V2 Reciprocating Design

This is not a standard fixed-weight H3. The V2 reciprocating internal weight system replaces the static steel weight with tungsten counter-mass weights that shift during cycling — smoothing deceleration, reducing bolt bounce, and cutting felt recoil compared to a conventional buffer.
