Details

Fantozzi Honey Company was founded by Thomas Fantozzi in 2017 after a beekeeping class at Cal Poly inspired his first two hives. His upbringing on a family farm in Patterson, California, shaped a business centered on bees and local agriculture. The family-run apiary emphasizes healthy colonies, harvesting only surplus honey, and handling its products in small batches.

This 6 oz portion is cut from full frames of raw sage honeycomb. It contains the honey together with its natural wax cells, offering the comb format instead of extracted liquid honey alone. The maker confirms that the honeycomb is fully edible. The smaller portion is a practical introduction if you want to experience the texture before choosing a larger piece.

Care

Storage and care

Keep the honeycomb covered between servings and use clean, dry utensils when cutting it. Follow the package directions for storage and handling. Natural honey may change texture as crystals form; crystallization alone is not evidence of spoilage. Handle the comb gently when moving it to a serving plate to preserve as much of the cell structure as possible.

Do not give honey or honey-containing products to children younger than 12 months. Read the CDC guidance on honey and infant botulism for more information.
