Dulce de Donké was founded in 2014 by Walt and Saundra Traywick in Luther, Oklahoma. Their family's search for donkey milk during their daughter's illness led them to raise American Mammoth donkeys and develop a farm-based skincare business. The family's work centers on caring for its herd, making small batches by hand, and helping families through its donkey-milk mission. That personal beginning continues to shape a practical, hands-on approach to making skincare.
Calm Balm is a multipurpose leave-in conditioning and styling balm for hair, beards, and dry skin. The 2-ounce jar brings beeswax, botanical oils, vegetable glycerin, and arrowroot powder together with lavandin, rosemary, and peppermint essential oils. Despite the maker's donkey-dairy roots, this formula contains no donkey milk.
Choose this balm when you want one jar for a beard-grooming routine, leave-in hair styling, or a small amount of skin conditioning. It is a leave-in product rather than a wash-off soap. Its essential-oil blend has an herbal, minty character, so review the ingredients before choosing it for a fragrance-sensitive routine. The jar shown is the product; photographs featuring several jars show alternative views and do not indicate a multipack.
Included: One 2 oz jar. SKU: HR-OR-20.
Made in the United States at the family's Oklahoma Donkey Dairy in Luther, Oklahoma, according to the maker's product information and farm-production statements. This identifies where the finished product is manufactured; it does not establish that every ingredient is grown or produced in the United States.
For this balm, the maker's published policy aims to dispatch in-stock orders within three to four business days, with carrier transit time in addition. Busy periods can extend processing. The supplier does not dispatch orders on weekends or holidays. The maker states that orders containing a preorder or made-to-order moisturizer wait until every item is ready. Shipping charges are shown at checkout; review the delivery information for your address before purchasing.
This balm is a personal-care item. BuyAmerican's refund policy excludes personal-care and beauty goods from returns. The maker also declines refunds or returns for general dissatisfaction or a product not suiting the customer's skin. Its published damage policy requires photographs within 24 hours of receipt and provides replacement of damaged or broken items; if it requests the broken item back, it covers that return shipment. For a BuyAmerican order, contact hello@buyamerican.com promptly with photos and your order information before sending anything back.
Arrowroot powder (Maranta Arundinacea), palm-free vegetable glycerin, beeswax (Cera Alba), unrefined coconut oil (Cocos Nucifera), castor oil (Ricinus Communis), apricot kernel oil (Prunus Armeniaca), neem oil (Melia Azadirachta), lavandin oil (Lavandula Hybrida), rosemary oil, peppermint oil, and sunflower-derived vitamin E oil. The maker identifies selected botanical ingredients as organic; this is not a claim of whole-product organic certification. Contains no donkey milk.
Beeswax is an animal-derived ingredient, so this formula is not vegan. Read the delivered label before use, particularly if you avoid specific botanical oils, bee products, or fragrance ingredients.
The maker recommends warming a small amount between the palms until it softens, then distributing it evenly through wet or dry hair. Use sparingly for beard styling or small areas of dry skin, and follow the jar's directions. Keep away from the eyes because the formula contains peppermint essential oil. Replace the lid after use and keep water out of the jar.
Test a new skincare product on a small area before adding it to your routine, and stop using it if it causes irritation. The American Academy of Dermatology explains how to test a new skincare product.
