Coffee Caramel Dessert Sauce, 10 oz Jar

Coffee adds a darker, espresso-like note to this creamy caramel dessert sauce. The photographed 10 oz jar contains a sugar-and-cream caramel with butter, coffee and sea salt, making it a versatile topping for cold desserts and a dip for fruit. It is handcrafted in New England and offered as a single jar in this listing. Choose it when you want caramel with a little more roasted flavor alongside its sweetness.

The coffee is part of the recipe, rather than a serving suggestion added afterward. That gives the sauce a different character from a plain caramel topping. The manufacturer recommends it with ice cream, apples, pears and pretzels, and also suggests a drizzle over gingerbread or a spoonful stirred into coffee. The sauce contains milk, and the maker’s FAQ says the production facility also processes nuts.

Serving ideas

For a simple dessert, spoon caramel over vanilla ice cream and add sliced pear or a few pretzel pieces. For a fruit plate, place a small amount in a separate dipping bowl so everyone can serve themselves with clean utensils. The coffee note also works alongside gingerbread or an apple dessert, where the sauce can be added after baking. Start with a small drizzle and add more to suit the sweetness of the dessert.

The maker also recommends the caramel with brie or blue cheese. Serve a small portion beside the cheese so guests can choose how much to add. For coffee drinks, stir a little sauce into the drink rather than treating it as an unmeasured pour. These serving ideas are suggestions; fruit, cheese, ice cream and other accompaniments are not included with the jar.

Features

Product features

  • Coffee-infused caramel with cream, butter and sea salt.
  • One 10 oz jar; the photographed label also lists 284 g.
  • Handcrafted in New England, United States.

Preparation and storage

The photographed jar label instructs customers to remove the cap before warming. For a full retail jar, it gives a 20-second microwave starting point, followed by stirring and further warming if needed; it also describes warming the jar in a saucepan of water and stirring occasionally. Follow the current package directions and adjust for the amount being warmed. Never microwave the metal lid.

Refrigerate after opening. The supplier FAQ says an unopened caramel jar lasts one year and an opened jar lasts six months in the refrigerator; follow the date and directions on the actual package. Natural separation can occur: stir the caramel after opening. Keep the lid closed between uses and use a clean spoon.
