Grow your own superfood with heirloom Chia seeds. This ancient plant, a member of the mint family, is famous for its small but incredibly nutritious seeds, which are packed with fiber, protein, and Omega-3 fatty acids. The plant itself is beautiful and easy to grow, with attractive foliage and lovely spikes of purple flowers that are a favorite of pollinators.
