Imperial Barber Products was founded in 2009 by master barbers Scott Serrata and Pedro Zermeno at Razorbacks Barber Shop in Long Beach, California. They developed their own grooming products after finding that existing options required compromises in hold, shine, fragrance or washability. Their approach grew from hands-on use with customers, repeated testing and improvements informed by working barbers. The company continues to emphasize practical performance, American manufacturing and products that professionals can confidently recommend for use at home.
Classic Pomade is the water-based styling formula that launched Imperial’s range. It combines a strong hold with a low-shine finish for structured styles such as side parts, slick backs and pompadours. The maker designed it to spread evenly and wash out more easily than traditional heavy styling greases.
Package: 2 oz Travel Size. The two-ounce version is a separate size from the standard container. Choose the size shown in this listing; it is a single styling product rather than the multi-formula assortment.
Choose Classic Pomade when you want firm control with a restrained shine. The amount of product and the moisture already in the hair both affect the final look. Dry hair gives the strongest result with less shine; less product on damp hair gives a lighter result with more sheen. Compare the standard and travel sizes before choosing your container.
For the firmest hold and least shine, distribute the pomade through dry hair and shape the style. For a lighter hold, use less product on damp hair. A little added water can reactivate the formula when you need to reshape the hair later in the day.
Can Classic Pomade be restyled? The maker describes it as water-reactivatable. Is this a matte product? Its specified finish is low shine, which is different from the no-shine finish of Matte Pomade Paste.

Use the ingredient list to compare formulas, then read the delivered label for the batch in your order. A shared brand name does not mean that different stylers, soaps and washes have identical ingredients. The FDA explanation of cosmetic ingredient names can help when reading the declaration.
Country of manufacture: United States. The maker identifies its hair and skin formulas as U.S.-made. This identifies manufacturing origin; it does not establish a U.S. source for every raw ingredient used in the formula. Check the delivered package for the product’s current labeling.
For this product, Imperial’s published direct-store shipping policy describes typical dispatch on the next business day, Monday through Friday, excluding U.S. federal holidays, with a noon Pacific cutoff. It lists standard FedEx delivery estimates of five to eight business days and a two-business-day service. Busy periods and some destinations can take longer. These are the maker’s direct-store estimates; available services, charges and delivery estimates for a BuyAmerican order should be reviewed at checkout.
The maker’s direct-store policy accepts unopened consumable grooming products with original seals and an order receipt within thirty days of receipt. Opened products are reviewed individually, with full refunds or exchanges for manufacturing defects or transit damage under the stated conditions. Its policy directs purchases from other retailers back to that retailer. For this BuyAmerican purchase, contact hello@buyamerican.com and review our return policy and personal-care exclusions before opening or returning the product. BuyAmerican excludes personal-care goods such as beauty products from routine returns and asks customers to report damaged or incorrect items immediately.
