Navy Wooden Desk Flag – American Oak, Made in USA

Flags of Valor was founded in 2015 by military veterans Brian Steorts and Joe Shamess and now operates in Winchester, Virginia. Steorts began woodworking while recovering from a service-related injury, and the business grew around creating meaningful work for fellow veterans. The company connects American manufacturing with veteran opportunity and support for military and first-responder causes, giving its patriotic products a purpose rooted in service.

A Navy connection may begin with a first duty station, a ship, a deployment, or a family member who served. This desk flag gives that connection a visible place at home or work. Made from solid American oak, this Navy wooden desk flag measures 5 inches high by 8.5 inches wide. Its smaller format makes it an option for a desk, bookshelf, nightstand, or office display where a full-size flag would take up too much room.

Choose it for sailors, veterans, military families, or someone who wants to recognize a loved one’s service. The value of the piece is in the connection it represents: a familiar symbol that can be seen during an ordinary workday, while reading, or while spending time at home.

Materials and American Craftsmanship

Solid oak gives this desk flag a different presence from a paper print or lightweight textile decoration. Grain and other natural wood characteristics are part of its appearance, so allow for small visual differences from the photographs. The manufacturer identifies the material as American oak and confirms U.S. production. The flag can complement an existing wood desk, contrast with a simple modern workspace, or sit alongside a photograph that gives the display personal meaning.

Care

For routine care, use a soft, clean cloth and handle the piece with dry hands. Keep decorative wood away from standing water, prolonged dampness, direct heat, and strong cleaning chemicals. Place it where it is unlikely to be knocked over or splashed during daily use. These are conservative wood-care recommendations; follow any instructions included with your item. Before applying polish, oil, or a cleaning product, confirm that it is suitable for the particular finish.
