The Cord-Wrapped Fullered Clip Point Bowie has a handle you can rebuild. Cord wrapping is the only grip you can strip and redo. Cut it off, change the color, wrap it tighter for your hand. No other handle material gives you that.

The blade carries a long fuller down its length. That groove pulls steel out of the middle of the flat. Weight drops and the spine keeps its stiffness. A 10-inch blade needs that help.

This fullered clip point Bowie for sale runs 15 inches overall. Red cord runs through the dark wrap as an accent.

The History Behind This Fullered Clip Point Blade

Wrapped handles appear on blades across many cultures and centuries. Cord, leather, and cloth all served long before molded grips existed. A worn wrap could be replaced in the field without any tools. Fullers came from a separate line of thinking about blade weight. Divine Knives brings both traditions onto one large Bowie.

Cord-Wrapped Fullered Clip Point Bowie Performance

Cord grips better than smooth material once hands get wet. Texture comes from the wrap itself, not from added checkering. Every ridge between turns gives your palm something to hold. Wet, cold, or gloved, the grip stays the same.

The fuller shifts balance back toward the guard. A 10-inch blade would feel tip-heavy without it. A long clip draws the point down for controlled work. A deep belly below carries most of the cutting work. Rinse the cord and let it dry fully after wet use.

Cord-Wrapped Bowie Handle Construction

Dark cord runs the length of the grip in tight turns. Red cord weaves through it at intervals as an accent. Each turn sits flush against the last with no gaps. The wrap builds its own shape around the tang underneath.

A steel guard closes the front and stops forward slide. The tang beneath the wrap is not visible from outside. A lanyard runs from the butt through a drilled hole. Cord will loosen over years of hard use. Rewrapping takes an afternoon and a fresh length of cord.

Best Uses for the Cordbind Bowie

Camp and trail work suit this blade at 10 inches. Chopping, batoning, and heavy sectioning all sit in range. Outdoor buyers buy cord-wrapped Bowie patterns for grip in wet conditions. The lanyard keeps it attached during a hard swing. It also displays well without needing a case.

FAQ’s

Can I rewrap the handle myself?

Yes. Strip the old cord, then wrap fresh cord over the tang. It takes an afternoon and no special tools.

What is the groove in the blade for?

That is a fuller. It removes steel from the blade center and drops weight without losing stiffness.

Does cord grip well when wet?

Better than smooth handles. The ridges between turns give your palm texture to hold.

How is this different from the Brassback Musso Bowie?

The Brassback runs 12 inches with a brass S guard and horn. This runs 10 inches with a cord grip and a fuller.

What is the lanyard for?

It loops around your wrist during heavy swings. The knife stays attached if your grip slips.
