Organic Dark Chocolate Almond Trail Mix - 8 oz

Grandy Organics was founded in 1979 by Sarah Carpenter and Penny Hood in Farmington, Maine, and now makes its granola and snack assortment in Hiram, Maine. The business began with a shared interest in good food, joyful living and care for the earth. Today its commitment to organic ingredients and small-batch production continues at a solar-powered bakery, reflecting those early values.

Dark Chocolate Almond Trail Mix

Dark chocolate, raisins and three kinds of nuts give this organic trail mix a distinct sweet-and-savory balance. Roasted peanuts and tamari-seasoned almonds add crunch, while walnuts and plump raisins make each handful varied. The chocolate includes soy lecithin, and the almond seasoning contains soy sauce, so this is a soy-containing snack as well as a nut mix. The available option is one 8 oz bag.

Ingredients and allergen information

Ingredient source: Current manufacturer product-page ingredient statement, checked October 18, 2026.

Contains: Peanuts, Almonds, Walnuts, Soy. The bakery handles peanuts, tree nuts, wheat and soy; newer package images also identify sesame. Review the exact package for its current cross-contact statement and do not treat organic or gluten-free labeling as a guarantee that the product suits every food allergy.

Ways to enjoy

Portion a little into a lunch container, put out a bowl for a movie night, or add it to a snack board alongside fresh fruit. For a dessert topping, sprinkle it over a compatible frozen dessert just before serving. Keep it away from excessive heat when traveling so the chocolate stays in the condition you prefer. A separate small container makes it easier to take one portion without repeatedly opening the whole bag.

Storage and freshness

Store the dry product in a cool, dry place and keep the bag closed between uses. If transferring it to another container, use a clean, airtight food container and retain the ingredient label and best-by information. The manufacturer describes a 12-month shelf life under suitable storage conditions; that is not a promise of 12 months remaining when delivered. Use the date printed on the supplied package.

Origin and organic labeling

The manufacturer identifies Hiram, Maine, United States, as the location where its finished products are made in small batches. This production statement applies to Dark Chocolate Almond Trail Mix and is separate from the growing countries of its ingredients. The company sources ingredients domestically and internationally; an all-U.S.-ingredient claim has not been established.

The product is sold as certified organic. For background on what organic labeling means, see the USDA organic labeling standards. Organic status and country of origin answer different questions; an organic label alone does not identify where each ingredient was grown.
