Liber & Co. was founded in 2011 by Robert Higginbotham, Chris Harrison, and Adam Higginbotham. The Texas company has roots in Austin and lists its current contact location in Georgetown, Texas. Its founders set out to bring the quality of craft-bar ingredients to home drink makers, using carefully sourced fruit and spices and a culinary approach to syrup production.

This concentrated mixer combines a gum-syrup base with aromatic bitters and an orange note for an Old Fashioned. It is intended to replace several separately measured sweetening and flavoring components in a simple stirred drink.

The supplier’s suggested starting build is one-quarter ounce of syrup with two ounces of whiskey over ice. The published nutrition serving is 7.5 mL, which differs from the 15 mL serving used for most other syrups in this range.
