• Sowing: The easiest method is to sow seeds outdoors in the fall. The seeds will be naturally stratified over the winter and will germinate in the spring.
• Preparation: Clear the intended area of all existing grass and weeds.
• Depth: Broadcast the seed mix evenly over the prepared soil. Lightly rake or compress the seeds into the soil to ensure good contact.
• Light Requirement: Full Sun.
• Watering: Keep the area moist until germination occurs. Most plants are drought-tolerant once established.

Keep unused seeds dry and cool in a clearly labeled, closed container. Protect the packet from humidity and temperature swings, and retain the variety name and sowing notes for your next planting. Use the species-specific directions below when deciding whether to start indoors, sow directly, soak seeds, or provide a cold period. Germination and growth vary with seed handling and local growing conditions.
