2-Gallon Stoneware Crock Weight Set
Details
Ohio Stoneware was founded in 2005 by Ross and Tiffany Pattison in Zanesville, Ohio. When local pottery businesses were closing, the couple purchased manufacturing equipment and a production building to help carry the area’s pottery tradition forward. Their family-owned company values practical American manufacturing, skilled pottery work, and pieces intended to stay useful for generations. It later added Buckeye Stoneware and Hartstone Pottery assets, continuing a regional craft through everyday crocks, kitchenware, and decorative pottery.
2-Gallon Stoneware Crock Weight Set
Keep vegetables submerged with this two-piece stoneware weight set sized for a 2-gallon preserving crock. The two semicircular stones sit over the prepared food inside the vessel. Their purpose is to help keep the vegetables beneath the brine during a properly managed fermentation. This is an unglazed weight set; the crock and cover are separate purchases.

Care
Care and handling
Wash the unglazed weights before food use, rinse thoroughly and allow them to dry fully before storage. Inspect the pieces for chips or cracks. Do not subject the ceramic to direct heat or sudden temperature changes. Follow the maker’s current food-contact cleaning instructions for unglazed preserving weights.
Stoneware is formed, finished and fired through a ceramic process, so individual pieces can differ slightly in color, texture and shape. Use any listed measurements as approximate, and confirm the fit of replacement parts against the piece you already own. Styled photographs can include other sizes, food or accessories that are not part of this listing.
