The Pink Wood Recurve Skinner Knife is hard to lose. That is not a small thing in the field. Dark handles disappear into leaf litter and long grass. People set a knife down during a dress and never see it again. Bright wood solves a problem most makers ignore.

Under the color, it works like any good skinner. Four inches keeps the point controlled through close work. The edge dips shallow, then sweeps into a belly.

This recurve skinner knife for sale ships with a tooled leather sheath. Basketweave stamping covers the whole sheath face.

The History Behind This Pink Wood Handle Skinner Knife

Stabilized wood is a recent answer to a very old problem. Soft and spalted blanks crack or swell as seasons change. Modern makers force resin into the grain under vacuum pressure. Dye goes in during the same cycle and colors the whole piece. Divine Knives uses that process for this handle.

Why Choose Pink Wood Recurve Skinner Knife

Four inches is short for a reason. Small blades turn inside spaces long ones cannot reach. Around a shoulder joint that matters more than reach. Long knives fight you in tight work.

Stabilized wood stays put when hands are wet. Resin fills the grain so nothing soaks in or swells. The handle feels the same in rain as in sun. A full tang carries the load through the whole length. Wipe the blade dry and the polish holds.

Recurve Skinning Blade Construction

Pink runs all the way through this wood. Dye went in with the resin, not onto the surface. Sanding or scratching reveals more of the same color. Painted handles cannot say that.

Grain still shows under the color in darker lines. Brass pins sit through the scales into a full tang. A mosaic fitting sits between them with a colored center. The tang line runs visibly along the spine. Keep the blade dry, and the wood needs nothing.

Best Uses for the Rosegrain Skinner

Deer and small game suit a four-inch blade. Caping and detail work fit it better than heavy sectioning. Hunters buy pink wood skinner knife builds so they stop losing them. It also reads as a gift more than most knives do. The tooled sheath carries it on a belt.

FAQ’s

Will the pink color fade or chip?

No. The dye went in with the resin through the whole blank. Scratching only shows more of the same color.

Why choose a bright handle?

Dark handles vanish in leaf litter and grass. A bright one is far easier to find again.

What is the fitting between the pins?

A mosaic pin with a colored center sits mid-handle. The two brass pins flank it.

How is this different from the Hooktip gut hook skinner?

The Hooktip has a gut hook and a horn handle in Damascus. This has a plain steel blade and dyed stabilized wood.

What is stabilized wood?

Wood with resin forced into the grain under vacuum. It resists water and will not swell or crack.
