Charles River Woodworks was founded in 2018 by Michael Langone in Waltham, Massachusetts, beside the river that inspired its name. The workshop moved to Whitinsville, Massachusetts, in late 2025. Langone describes making as a lifelong pursuit and sees creativity and play as valuable at every age. His business brings that outlook into the home through handcrafted game tables, display furniture and other wood designs.
Keep a puzzle in progress and reclaim your coffee-table surface between sessions. This 24 x 36 inch puzzle coffee table pairs a recessed work platform with two hidden sorting drawers and a removable tempered glass top. The covered table lets your puzzle remain visible while providing a separate surface above it.
The central gloss maple platform measures 22.5 x 34.5 inches. Compare those usable dimensions with the finished dimensions printed on your puzzle box; piece count alone does not establish whether a particular puzzle will fit. The drawers offer additional sorting space for pieces, while the hidden glass-storage slot keeps the cover close by during a session.
Choose a finish and total height to suit your room. The Early American finish is the default choice; Black Stain, Weathered Gray, Whitewash and Espresso are also listed. The photographs include different finishes and room arrangements, helping you compare the table's appearance before choosing. Puzzles, drinks and decorative objects shown are styling examples. Explore our games and puzzles collection and home and decor for more ways to make space for your favorite activities.
Custom engraving is offered as a listed option. Confirm the wording and ordering instructions with BuyAmerican before selecting personalization; the exact requested text needs to accompany a custom order.
The construction combines a rustic stained and clear-coated pine frame, a gloss maple puzzle platform, a removable tempered glass cover and four steel hairpin legs. The supplier notes that nail holes and other small imperfections may be visible as part of the rustic finish. Five stain choices let you select the appearance that suits your space.
For routine upkeep, gently remove visible dust from the wood with a clean, soft, dry cloth. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight and sudden changes in temperature or humidity. Lift the table carefully when repositioning it, supporting the main frame rather than pulling on the legs or glass. Remove loose game or display items before a move.
The legs attach through pre-drilled holes using the included hardware and a Phillips screwdriver. Follow the supplied assembly instructions and place the table on a level surface before use. For general handling and placement principles, see North Carolina Historic Sites furniture-care guidance. This is general conservation advice; follow any product-specific instructions supplied with your order.
