Charles River Woodworks was founded in 2018 by Michael Langone in Waltham, Massachusetts, beside the river that inspired its name. The workshop moved to Whitinsville, Massachusetts, in late 2025. Langone describes making as a lifelong pursuit and sees creativity and play as valuable at every age. His business brings that outlook into the home through handcrafted game tables, display furniture and other wood designs.
Bring a favorite word game to the center of the table with this 20 x 20 inch rotating wooden Scrabble board. Its lazy Susan base turns the board toward each player, making a shared game easier to view from different seats. The included letter tiles, four tile holders and drawstring bag give you the essentials for setting up your next round.
The rustic pine frame makes the board a natural fit for a dining table, game room or a dedicated tabletop play area. This tabletop version sits on furniture you already own. Measure your table before ordering and allow room around the board for players, tile holders and comfortable rotation. For other ways to bring people together, browse our American-made board games and games and puzzles.
The rotating format is useful when players sit on opposite sides of a table and want to read the board in their own direction. It also keeps the game board together as a single piece when you choose where to play. The photographs show the board arranged with tiles and holders; room furnishings and serving accessories are styling examples.
Custom engraving is offered as a listed option. Confirm the wording and ordering instructions with BuyAmerican before selecting personalization; the exact requested text needs to accompany a custom order.
The frame is stained, clear-coated pine. The listing includes the game tiles and holders; it does not identify a wood species for every game accessory. The lazy Susan provides rotation beneath the board.
Dust the frame and playing surface gently with a clean, soft, dry cloth. Keep the board away from standing moisture, hot serving dishes and prolonged direct sunlight. Store loose tiles in the supplied bag between games and check that the surrounding tabletop is clear before rotating the board.
Keep its playing area clear of food spills and return loose game components to storage after use. For general handling and placement principles, see North Carolina Historic Sites furniture-care guidance.
