Water planning: The supplier instructions call for 1 1/4 cups of safe drinking water for the meal plus a separate 1/2 cup of water to activate the heater. The heater water is additional to the food-pouch water.

The supplier describes approximately 15 minutes of heating followed by another 15 minutes with the food sealed. Follow the directions on the actual kit.

The heater and steam become very hot. Keep the kit upright during heating, handle carefully and follow all printed heater warnings. Do not put the heater water into the food pouch.
