Turkey & Wild Blueberry Dog Cookies, 4 oz

Founded by Karin Roseman, Deer Valley Danes is a pet nutrition business in Greenville, Delaware; BBB records its business start and incorporation in 2014. The company's Snarky Bark treat line was inspired by Roseman's dog Daisy. Its stated priorities include whole-food recipes, local U.S. sourcing and the same care for customers' pets as for its own dogs. Its packages describe small-batch, handmade treats. The independent BBB business profile provides the company's business record.

Turkey & Wild Blueberry Dog Cookies, 4 oz

Turkey and wild blueberry cookies bring poultry and fruit together in a 4 oz pouch. The pictured back label lists ground turkey and wild blueberries, along with eggs, flaxseed, hemp hearts, Parmesan cheese and coconut oil. It also lists an organic brown-rice ingredient with the printed wording 'rice flower'; the maker needs to confirm that wording.

This cookie recipe contains more than turkey and berries. The presence of eggs, cheese and a brown-rice ingredient distinguishes it from turkey breast jerky, whose label lists turkey breast alone. Read the full recipe before comparing the two. The maker describes the blueberries as wild and organic, but that does not establish certification of the entire finished product.

The supplier attributes this analysis to Eurofins Laboratory. These are the published percentages; no calories per piece or minimum/maximum guarantees are inferred from them.

Ingredients and recipe details

Ingredient statement: Ground turkey, wild blueberries, organic brown rice flower, whole eggs, flaxseed, hemp hearts, parmesan cheese, & coconut oil.

The ingredient statement is transcribed from the pictured package, including its unusual 'rice flower' spelling. Do not treat this as a grain-free or two-ingredient recipe. Current-label confirmation is needed before relying on the formula for a dog with particular ingredient restrictions.

Storage and feeding

Keep this turkey and wild blueberries treat refrigerated. The pictured label specifies refrigeration after opening, while the product page gives an unqualified refrigeration instruction. The correct conditions for an unopened pouch still need confirmation. An unopened shelf-life period, an opened use-by interval and a permitted time outside refrigeration are not supplied here. Confirm the current instructions with BuyAmerican before purchase.

Offer as an occasional treat or snack rather than as a replacement for your dog's usual meals. Choose portions for your dog's size and supervise eating. The maker has not supplied calories per piece, so a fixed daily number of treats is not specified. If your dog follows a prescribed feeding plan, check the proposed reward with your veterinarian.
