Details

Ohio Flame was founded by Matt Skillman in 2009 and is based in Columbiana, Ohio. The business began in his garage after a short-lived backyard fire pit inspired him to build a sturdier steel replacement. Drawing on his background in art and the steel industry, Skillman made American manufacturing, durable construction, and direct customer service central to the company. The business also honors the help of his uncle, a U.S. Army veteran, through its commitment to American-made products and military support.

Stellar Steel Fire Bowl with Pedestal Base

An undulating, star-inspired rim gives the Stellar bowl its sculptural outline. This original configuration pairs the deep bowl with a round pedestal base, creating the classic Stellar profile for an outdoor wood-burning fire.

Choose the bowl diameter and review its overall height, depth and approximate weight before planning its position. This listing is for the pedestal-base configuration; a similarly named bowl with another base can have different dimensions. The fire pit is intended for wood-burning use, and the welded base requires no assembly.

Features

A Substantial Outdoor Wood-Fire Centerpiece

  • Made in the United States with American carbon steel sourced from local mills.

  • A rain drain allows water to escape from the bowl.

  • Unpainted Patina finish changes with weather and use.

Specifications for the selected product options
SKU Diameter (in) Overall height (in) Bowl depth (in) Approx. weight (lb) Steel thickness (in)

OF37ABST 37 22 18.5 214 .185

Dimensions and approximate weights above are specific to this base and size. Diameter describes the bowl, while overall height includes its support. Measure the intended placement area and access route before choosing a size, and allow for the required fire clearance around it. Larger bowls are substantial items; plan their final position before the first use.

Materials

American Steel and a Changing Patina

The bowl is made from American carbon steel. Its Patina finish is a natural iron-oxide surface that gradually darkens. Exposure to moisture and heat changes the surface toward orange and then darker brown tones. Color and the pace of weathering can vary across the bowl; the photographs show examples rather than a fixed paint color. Steel thickness varies by size as listed above.

Care

Placement, Cleaning and Warranty

Use this wood-burning fire pit outdoors on a hard, level, noncombustible surface, with at least 10 feet of clearance from structures and combustible materials, and follow local burning rules. Do not place it on a wooden or composite deck or under overhanging branches. Supervise the fire and keep children and pets away. Allow the bowl, coals and ashes to cool completely before cleaning or moving it. Inspect the bowl regularly and remove accumulated cold ash; a natural patina does not remove the need for routine cleaning.

Read the U.S. Fire Administration’s outdoor fire safety guidance when planning a fire-pit area. Follow the product instructions and any stricter local clearance requirements.

The manufacturer’s lifetime warranty applies to the structural integrity and durability of registered steel bowls and welds. It excludes screens, grates, paint and finishes; alteration, misuse, or commercial use can void coverage. Register the product and keep its purchase information. Cosmetic weathering should not be confused with the structural warranty.

Shipping & returns

Shipping and Returns for This Fire Bowl

Delivery destinations, shipping charges, and the applicable return terms for this selection require confirmation before ordering. The manufacturer’s published shipping pages give different geographic coverage, so a nationwide free-delivery promise cannot be confirmed for this listing.

This made-to-order artisan bowl has a published standard production lead time of two weeks from order to ready-to-ship; carrier transit comes afterward. The manufacturer’s weight-based guidance indicates 30-inch: ground parcel, 37-inch: LTL freight, 41-inch: LTL freight. Freight arrives palletized, needs a signature and a contact telephone number for scheduling. Its FAQ states that residential delivery and liftgate service are included in its product pricing. Confirm the destination, access arrangements and any extra services for this order.

Inspect this product and its packaging on arrival. Report shipping damage or a suspected defect immediately through the support channel for your order, and retain photographs of the item and packaging. The manufacturer provides a replacement or original-payment refund when a damage or defect claim is accepted. Its refund policy excludes buyer’s remorse. A separate policy page describes possible approval for a new, unused, resellable return, with original packaging, paperwork and parts, customer-paid return shipping, and a deduction for restocking. Such approval is discretionary; obtain the applicable terms and authorization before sending anything back.
