Details

Charles Chocolates was founded in 2004 by self-taught chocolatier Chuck (Charles) Siegel. The company makes artisan confections in San Francisco, California, guided by his belief that chocolate should be treated as fresh food. Siegel's involvement in the Bay Area chocolate community began in 1987. After his earlier company, Attivo, he returned to confection making with an emphasis on ingredient quality, hand preparation, and small batches. That approach gives the business a practical focus on how each recipe tastes and feels, from its chocolate base to its individual inclusions.

Triple Nut Dark Chocolate Bar – Almond, Hazelnut & Pine Nut

Deep-roasted California almonds, Oregon hazelnuts, and pine nuts are combined with 65% bittersweet chocolate in the Tres Cojones bar. The three-nut mix offers a range of roasted flavors and textures within one tablet. This is the full-size 100-gram bar, suited to sharing in small pieces or comparing with a single-nut bar.

Chocolate Craft & American Production

The finished confections are handcrafted in San Francisco, California. This identifies where the product is made; the origin of every cacao ingredient, flavoring, and packaging component has not been documented as American. Ingredient origins are stated only for the specific nuts or fruit identified in the recipe. The listing does not claim that all ingredients were grown or produced in the United States.

Care

Care & Storage

Keep these chocolates in an airtight container in a cool, dry place, ideally between 60°F and 65°F. Protect them from direct sunlight, moisture, and strong odors. The maker recommends enjoying its standard chocolates within four weeks of receipt. Follow any more specific date or storage direction printed on the package. Refrigeration is generally discouraged for these standard chocolates because it can affect texture and flavor; follow any product-specific exception on the package. Bring delivered chocolates indoors promptly and avoid storing them in a hot car or an outdoor delivery area.
