Details

Bunny Hopkins was founded in 2020 by Shamik Dasgupta in Atlanta, Georgia. Inspired by his daughter Ira and her interest in the boxes her toys arrived in, he set out to make toys that invite more imaginative play. This family-owned company values open-ended exploration, American craftsmanship, and durable materials, producing its wooden play equipment in small batches at its Atlanta workshop.

Two sizes of curved maple board for movement and imaginative play

The Wooden Wobble Balance Board is a curved maple play piece offered in Mini and Classic sizes. It can become a rocking surface, an inverted bridge, or part of an imaginative play arrangement when used according to the manufacturer's directions. Its simple shape leaves the activity open to the child while giving families a choice of scale.

The Mini measures 23 inches long, 12 inches wide, and 3 inches high, with a supplier-rated limit of 350 pounds. The Classic measures 32 inches long, 12 inches wide, and 7 inches high, with a supplier-rated limit of 450 pounds. These ratings are size specific; the larger board's capacity should not be applied to the Mini.

The size selector describes Mini for ages 1–3 and Classic for ages 3–6+, while other manufacturer copy gives both 12-month and 18-month minimums. Confirm the age label and supplied instructions for the chosen size before use. Choose size and finish separately, and compare the dimensions with your play space. This listing is for one board, rather than the multiple boards, furniture, toy vehicles, or personalized examples shown in some photographs.

Materials

The board is made from maple wood. The manufacturer offers Raw Timber as unfinished wood, Maple Magic as a natural sealed finish, and colored versions using non-toxic, water-based stains. Wood grain and hand-applied color may vary, so the finish selector identifies the order rather than guaranteeing an exact grain pattern. The brown-toned finish names should not be interpreted as different lumber species.

Care

Clean the wood with a damp cloth when needed. Bunny Hopkins recommends occasional natural beeswax maintenance, approximately every couple of years. Follow the instructions supplied with your selected finish, especially if choosing unfinished Raw Timber. Natural grain, small tonal differences, and variations in hand-applied color are normal characteristics of this handmade equipment. Contact BuyAmerican.com if a piece arrives cracked or damaged.
